For Vepo Cheese, I was asked to produce a corporate film showcasing the company’s unique story and product offerings. As the lead cameraman, I was responsible for capturing all the footage used in the video.
Our goal was to highlight Vepo Cheese’s manufacturing processes and office operations. The film provides an engaging tour of the entire factory, emphasizing the quality and variety of products. Additionally, we included scenes from the offices to offer a holistic view of the company.
By creating a compelling storyline, we transported viewers back in time, narrating the founding and growth of Vepo Cheese. This historical perspective not only informs but also connects with the audience, enhancing their understanding and appreciation of the company.
For a professional corporate film that captures the essence of your company, Vepo Cheese’s film serves as an exemplary model of storytelling and production excellence.
In 2021, I worked as a cameraman for 3FM Serious Request, held in Amersfoort. During this event, which ran 24 hours a day for seven days, I primarily operated a handheld camera during both day and evening shifts. My responsibilities varied between capturing footage inside the house with the DJs and using the RF camera to film exterior shots outside.
Additionally, I was involved in filming live performances on a separate stage, which was covered by multiple cameras to ensure high-quality production. Working in shifts, we ensured continuous, seamless coverage of this extensive live event.
Now, I am a freelance cameraman, leveraging my experience from 3FM Serious Request to provide top-notch filming services for various projects.
When setting up HLF8, I became highly involved in the production. The technical aspects of this show were impressive. The studio, with its windows allowing daylight transitions to night, posed challenges, especially with the sun setting behind the presenter. Each show began with an exterior shot on the bustling streets of Amsterdam, adding a dynamic start to the broadcast.
HLF8 is primarily a talk show, but it frequently features music, magic, and other talents on stage. This diversity made it enjoyable to transition from a talk show format, where the focus is on capturing the right person at the right moment, to filming a music show, which allowed for more creative expression.
To mark the beginning of a new school year, I was tasked with creating a mini documentary series for Dit is MBO. Our focus was on Larose Kifu, an outstanding student from Tilburg, whose story embodies inspiration and perseverance.
Dit is MBO was looking to present an uplifting narrative at the new school year’s inauguration. Over the course of two recording days, we successfully produced a compelling three-part mini documentary series. This series captures Larose’s educational journey, personal achievements, and future goals, serving as a source of motivation for the student body.
For educational institutions looking to inspire their students, this mini documentary series for Dit is MBO is a testament to the power of storytelling and its impact on student engagement and morale.
In 2022, Kontent Structures was selected to provide tent setups for Navy Days, a significant event where the navy showcases their operations and capabilities to the public. Kontent Structures specializes in supplying large temporary tents for shelter and various indoor events, essential for an event of this magnitude.
Recognizing the importance of this event, Kontent Structures commissioned a promotional video to highlight their work. Our team documented the entire setup process, capturing the meticulous efforts involved. Additionally, we filmed the actual Navy Days event, showcasing the marines in action, and seamlessly integrated this footage into the final edit.
The result is an engaging promotional video that effectively highlights the challenging yet rewarding work performed by Kontent Structures. This video not only promotes their services but also serves as a valuable tool for attracting new employees, showcasing the dynamic and impactful nature of their work.
For DMC Productions, I create sports summaries, primarily focusing on soccer. These edits, which are typically 3, 8, or 12 minutes long, provide comprehensive highlights of entire matches.
These summaries are crafted to capture the key moments and excitement of the games, making them suitable for use in live studio TV shows on Ziggo Sport.
I was tasked with capturing drone shots for “Het feest van Tante Rita, de chocobom,” specifically for the opening scene and a parade sequence.
For the opening scene, we utilized the DJI Inspire 3 equipped with various lenses. This scene required a smooth, cinematic pull-in shot with a time-warp effect. This required a perfectly stable shot to ensure a smooth time-warp.
During the parade scene, set in a dense forest campsite, we faced the challenge of maneuvering between trees. To navigate this environment effectively, we opted for a racing drone with a gimbal. Our choice was the racedrone equipped with a stripped DJI Inspire 2 gimbal mounted on top. This setup allowed us to fly swiftly and seamlessly between trees, capturing dynamic shots of the lively parade in action.
This is Holland offers a unique experience based in Amsterdam, allowing visitors to fly over the Netherlands from a bird’s-eye perspective. This immersive 5D experience showcases iconic Dutch landscapes, including tulip fields, windmills, and the city of Rotterdam, all viewed on a screen that surrounds you.
The footage is captured with an extreme wide-angle lens to provide a comprehensive and captivating view. Traditionally, these recordings were made using a helicopter, but since 2024, we have transitioned to using a specially designed drone. This drone, built specifically for this use case, offers unparalleled precision and flexibility, enhancing the overall quality of the experience.
For the movie Joe Speedboot, the director sought to incorporate both conventional and unconventional aerial shots. While traditional aerial shots were desired, the storyline also required more specific shots.
To achieve this unique vision, we utilized innovative techniques. Specifically, we mounted a RED V-Raptor camera onto a racing drone without a gimbal. This unconventional approach allowed us to capture dynamic and immersive shots that simulated the experience of flying in the homemade plane. The result was a series of visually stunning sequences that seamlessly integrated with the narrative of the film.
As part of the production team, I operated various cameras, including the handheld camera in the studio and the camera on the osprey. EO Life was a dynamic live show featuring music, baking segments, and talk show discussions, all produced within a relatively small studio space. The show utilized a four-camera setup.
